NorthEast United FC are set to sign Palestinian center-back Yaser Hamed, according to reports. The 25-year-old is currently a free agent after his contract with Kuwait Club Qadsia SC expired earlier this month.

Hamed is a tall and strong defender who is good in the air. He is also comfortable with the ball at his feet and can play out from the back. He is expected to add some much-needed stability to NEUFC’s defense, which was one of the main weaknesses of the team last season.

NEUFC finished bottom of the ISL table last season, but they have been busy in the transfer market so far this summer, signing the likes of Michel Zabaco, Ibson Melo and Nestor Albiach. The addition of Hamed would be a major coup for the club and could help them to improve on their performance in the upcoming season.

Hamed is a product of the Athletic Bilbao academy and has also played for clubs in Spain and Egypt. He is a full international for Palestine and has over 20 caps for his country. He will be hoping to use his experience and talent to help NEUFC challenge for a top-four finish in the ISL this season.

The signing of Hamed is a sign that NEUFC are serious about improving their squad and challenging for trophies in the upcoming season. The club has a good mix of experienced and young players and Hamed will be a valuable addition to the squad.

He is a tough and physical defender who is good in the air and comfortable with the ball at his feet.

He will add some much-needed stability to the NEUFC defense and could be a key player for the club in the upcoming season.
