India Announces 22-Member Squad for Asian Games 2023

India Senior Men’s Football Team Head Coach Igor Stimac has announced a 22-member squad for the 2023 Asian Games, which will be held in Hangzhou, China, from September 19 to October 7.

The Indian team finds itself in Group A, along with China PR, Bangladesh, and Myanmar. The squad is a mix of experience and youth, with Sunil Chhetri leading the attack and Sandesh Jhingan anchoring the defense.

In goal, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu will be the first-choice goalkeeper, with Gurmeet Singh and Dheeraj Singh Moirangthem as his backups.

The defense will be led by Sandesh Jhingan, with Anwar Ali, Narender Gahlot, Lalchungnunga, Akash Mishra, Roshan Singh, and Ashish Rai as his teammates.
