Chinglensana Singh, fondly known as Sana Singh, is a distinguished Indian professional footballer specializing in the defensive role. Born on November 23, 1996, in Manipur, Sana has left an indelible mark on the Indian Super League (ISL) and has also been a crucial part of the India national team.
Sana Singh embarked on his football journey at the age of seven and gained valuable experience in the youth setup of Mahindra United. Notably, he contributed to the team’s victory in the Manchester United Premier Cup in 2010. His tenure at the Tata Football Academy showcased his prowess, with Singh playing pivotal roles in their under-17 and under-19 sides, including clinching the I-League U19 in 2014.
The defender’s journey continued as he joined Shillong Lajong in August 2015, making his professional debut in the I-League. His consistent performances garnered attention, leading to a loan move to Delhi Dynamos in the Indian Super League’s 2016 season under coach Gianluca Zambrotta.
