Bengaluru FC has officially announced the departure of head coach Simon Grayson in a mutual agreement, confirmed through an official statement released by the Indian Super League club on Saturday.
Expressing gratitude for Grayson’s contributions, the club highlighted his instrumental role in the team’s impressive performance last season, securing the Durand Cup and reaching the finals in both the Super Cup and the Indian Super League.
Joining Bengaluru FC at the start of the 2022-23 season, Englishman Grayson led the Blues to remarkable achievements, marking a significant turnaround for the team. His departure also sees assistant Coach Neil McDonald parting ways with the club.
To fill the interim coaching position, former India captain Renedy Singh has been entrusted with leading the team in the upcoming fixtures. Meanwhile, the club is actively seeking a new Head Coach.
Currently positioned ninth in the ISL points table with a single victory in nine games, Bengaluru FC is undergoing a transitional phase following recent setbacks, notably their heaviest home defeat against Mumbai City FC. Their next challenge awaits as they face off against rivals Chennaiyin FC on Wednesday.
Stay tuned for further updates as Bengaluru FC continues its pursuit for a new coaching leadership and aims for a resurgence in the league.
